Coogee Peace Walk

Coogee Peace Walk

Saturday 2 May 5pm – 6pm at The Rotunda – Grant Reserve, Coogee Beach

You are invited to join others under the full moon of May to walk in solidarity for personal, communal and world peace.

Peace begins within and then ripples outwards to one’s community and the world. This is how we create the peace that our planet desperately needs.

The Coogee Buddhist Centre, with the approval of The NSW Buddhist Council, The Randwick Council and NSW Police, is hosting this event to encourage our community to walk in solidarity for a safe and peaceful world.

Starting at the Grant Reserve Rotunda at 5 pm, it will move along the beachfront esplanade and finish at the Dunningham Reserve headland at 6 pm, with a sweet communal celebration.

At the end of the walk, Hare Krishna will offer a delicious selection of light, nourishing refreshments available at a very affordable price.

This is a community walk for everyone; individuals, families, all ages and all faiths are warmly welcome.

Our community is based on dāna, the Sanskrit word for generosity; people offering their time, energy and resources to create something meaningful together.

A suggested donation of $45 ($35 concession) helps cover the costs of the event and supports our volunteer-run Buddhist community, including meditation, yoga, Dharma study and many activities.

Your registration fee includes an especially commissioned Peace Walk cap.
